A new text message scam has been reported in Merced Chiropractor County — and sheriff’s investigators are warning residents to beware.The scam, first reported Monday afternoon, has generally appeared in the form of a text message from MERCO Credit Union. Customers with AT&T cell phone accounts have been targeted, according to Sheriff Mark Pazin.
